The Christian Education Department is managed by a Secretary who is elected every four years at the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church General Conference and a Board of Christian Education. The Board is elected also at the General Conference upon the nomination of the Board of Bishops. The Board consist of three Bishops, and one member of each of the 12 Episcopal Districts. Additional officers are elected by the Christian Education Board.
The Secretary of the Christian Education Department is the Reverend Raymon Hunt. Rev. Hunt is a native of Johnson Corners, Georgia and lived most of his life in American Canyon (Napa Valley), California.
He attended the Public Schools of American Canyon & Vallejo Unified Schools District; California; Simpson Bible College, San Francisco, California; University of California at San Jose; and Hood Theological Seminary, Salisbury, North Carolina.
