 Christian Educators get on Board the train of Christian nurture. Everyone is a Christian Educator by virtue of the fact that we each serve as an example or role model for someone. All persons need nurturing, just as a plant needs water, light and good soil and nutrient, to grow. Followers of Christ need the food of the gospel to strengthen and empower us to face the temptations and challenges of daily living. Reflect on your role as a Christian educator or teacher for each session that you plan, think about the end results desired. Then select activities to engage learners in reaching your desired results. To teach is to provide what is necessary to nurture persons so that spiritual growth occurs. Take the time to prepare for each session. Nothing defeats your success as an educator quicker than the lack of preparation. Read 2 Timothy 2:15-17 and reflect on the level of your preparedness for the task ahead. Tips for Christian Educators The work of Christian Education covers the gamut of life experiences. Take the time to make relevant connections with various areas of life that affect members of your congregation. Study and use the monthly celebrations and awareness raising opportunities. We are called to be good stewards of all of our resources. We should not be single focused. Take every opportunity to nurture the body of Christ.
