After a fairly productive Friday, the Conference found itself mired in the detailed point to point interpretive discussion that unfortunately can and did produce gridlock.

It was not the contentious type of gridlock but the kind that causes exasperation and frustration. The constant strong and skillful parliamentary hand of Bishop Darryl Starnes kept the process moving when one could not see it doing so.

As the agenda times gets pushed further and further back, the Conference will find itself facing a Monday business session that will tax even the most ardent convention attendee.

But make NO mistake; there are some VERY skillful bishops who can move an agenda with precision and finality. Stay tune, we will see if the 49th Quadrennial can get back on track and close with a bang.
