AME Zion General Secretary-Auditor To Introduce New Technology & Functionality to the 2012 Delegacy
Dr. W. Robert Johnson, General Secretary Auditor, is yet again advancing the office of the General Secretary-Auditor in technology by implementing release two of the hugely popular Delegate Center, one of the most advanced, workflow web systems in the AME Zion Church.

This new workflow system improves productivity, efficiency and most of all saves the church a great amount of operational funding. Dr. Johnson has described Delegate Center 2012 as a multi-phased technology project that will include many newly added functions for the 2012 Delegacy. The system itself allows delegates to review resolution submissions securely online several weeks before what was possible with the old process. For the delegate, this can occur in any place at any time of day 24 hours and 7 days a week. Also, for the 2012 General Conference, the web portal will house links to candidate profiles, necessary delegate forms and instructions and will give the delegates the ability to download the finalized complete packet of resolutions that will be voted on at the 2012 General Conference. This system saves the church thousands of dollars from the previous process which required extraordinary publication costs.

New Future Advances Proposed starting in 2012

Future technology developments to begin in late 2012 include major process improvements to the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting operations of the Office of General Secretary Auditor. This ground-breaking technological effort, upon approval from the departments Episcopal Leadership, will include the creation of a secure portal for annual conferences to securely submit required reports real-time via an online reporting system instead of mailing forms. Also, included in that phase of development will be a new process for allowing any church, district or department, the ability to download all required documents and forms.
